I've uploaded a very, very beta version of our upcoming Blogzerk Photo Uploader for Windows. This allows Windows users to use the application to select (multiple) images from your hard drive and upload them to an existing or new photo album. DISCLAIMER: This is beta software. It has been lightly tested and known to work but most certainly has bugs. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Although nothing bad should happen from using this, we are not responsible for any damage that results due to your use of this software. That said, if you'd like to try it out, just download the zip file, extract the two files to their own folder, and run BlogzerkPhotoUploader.exe. There is no installation required, but you must have the .Net Framework version 1.1 on your computer. Please post any feedback to this topic. If a really bad error occurs, a window will pop up with debugging information. Please post that information in your reply. For Mac users, we hope to have an iPhoto plugin which will allow you to upload photos and albums from iPhoto to your Blogzerk blog in the next few weeks.

Hello! I have used the Photo Uploader for batches of photos with success in the past. I used it to upload a single photo and create a new album (2007) earlier today. But this evening I can't upload anything. I keep getting the following error message, and the program crashes.
Thanks for any help you can provide! Vesna ulysses.blogware.com

Can I use an FTP program to access my photos? If so, how? When I connect via FTP, there is no "_photos" or "photos" subdirectory visible.

There shoud be a _NewPhotos that you can upload to via FTP or the File Manager and those will then be available when you create a photo album to add the photos in there to it.

I'll be testing this shortly and see if I can duplicate this. In the mean time, can you try it again today to see if you still get the same error? Thanks.

Chris,
Hi, thanks for writing so promptly, as always! I tried again tonight and got the error text below.
I've tried single files, files that have worked in the past, creating a new folder in Uploader for the file destination, mutliple files, files from across the home network, files on my local system, and every helpful variant I could think of. Also deleted the program and re-extracted the file. Same result.
Vesna

Chris,
Thanks for answering my ftp question. I tried it anf it worked great. But how about when I want to add a bunch of photos to an existing album? Any ftp possibilities for that?
Thanks!

Any progress on the question that I asked on Jan. 22? About adding a bunch of photos to an existing photo album. Or about the problem I'm experiencing with the Blogzerk Photo Uploader that was introduced as beta some 15 months ago.
It's kind of frustrating to have the photo album feature be this convoluted to use, and it's making Flickr look more attractive as an alternative. I'd rather keep everything on a nice seamless blog, but if it's too hard to use, then not so much.
Thanks!

Unfortunately, no there isn't a way to do that for existing albums.

See my reply above about the former. For the latter, please try this version and let me know how it works.
